August 18, 2011

CHANTILLY, VIRGINIA –  APRA President, Bill Gager announced today the details of the Electrical Survive & Thrive Clinic to be held on Saturday morning, October 29, 2011 at the BIG R Show in Las Vegas.

Mohammad Samii, APRA’s electrical diagnostic columnist and Technical Service Assistant, will present a 2-part seminar which will analyze compatibility issues of certain voltage regulators and their interconnection with the vehicle PCM. Samii will discuss hands-on rebuilding techniques on various items, covering slip-ring replacement on most rotors as well as a step-by-step pictorial presentation of rebuilding some late model starters and alternators.

In between his two-part session, Dennis Jacinto of Lester Catalog Company and APRA’s Incoming Chairman, will showcase the highlights of the latest version of Lester’s KwikFinder Application Catalog which is available both on DVD as well as a web-based service for electrical rebuilders. Dennis will also detail the new $100 discount program for APRA members.

Samii stated, “This in-depth clinic is intended to provide a comprehensive analysis to address issues of regulator/PCM operation and interface on various designs to familiarize the rebuilders with the concept and provide proper diagnostic techniques to reduce warranty returns.”

Samii concluded, “This clinic is designed to drop more dollars to your bottom line. Remember, it pays to be an APRA member.”
