Electrical Survive & Thrive Clinic Set for BIG R Show

CHANTILLY, VIRGINIA – APRA President, Bill Gager announced today the
details of the Electrical Survive & Thrive Clinic to be held on Saturday
morning, October 29, 2011 at the BIG R Show in Las Vegas.
Mohammad Samii, APRA’s electrical diagnostic columnist and Technical Service
Assistant, will present a 2-part seminar which will analyze compatibility issues
of certain voltage regulators and their interconnection with the vehicle PCM.
Samii will discuss hands-on rebuilding techniques on various items, covering
slip-ring replacement on most rotors as well as a step-by-step pictorial
presentation of rebuilding some late model starters and alternators.
In between his two-part session, Dennis Jacinto of Lester Catalog Company and
APRA’s Incoming Chairman, will showcase the highlights of the latest version of
Lester’s KwikFinder Application Catalog which is available both on DVD as well
as a web-based service for electrical rebuilders. Dennis will also detail the
new $100 discount program for APRA members.
Samii stated, “This in-depth clinic is intended to provide a comprehensive
analysis to address issues of regulator/PCM operation and interface on various
designs to familiarize the rebuilders with the concept and provide proper
diagnostic techniques to reduce warranty returns.”
