Robie Becomes
APRA Core Supplier Chairman

CHANTILLY, VIRGINIA – Jay Robie of Phoenix Automotive Cores in Phoenix,
Arizona, was recently named the new Chairman of the Automotive Parts
Remanufacturers Association’s (APRA) Core Suppliers Advisory Council at their
November meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Robie replaced Tom Jackson of Rebuilders Automotive Supply in Coventry, Rhode
Island, who served with distinction for a number of years.
Jay Robie has been involved in various facets of the recycling industry since
1993. In 1998 his company started recycling electronic materials and scrap
metal, including catalytic converters. In 2004 Phoenix Automotive Cores was
established to provide good rebuildable parts to the remanufacturing industry
and quickly became known for their use of technology and innovation to
positively impact the remanufacturing industry.
In 2009 Phoenix Automotive Cores and the CMS/Morrell group of companies received
the Arizona Corporate Excellence award and were selected as the fourth fastest
growing company in the state of Arizona. Robie serves as CEO and oversees the
general business strategy and marketing of its entities including business
development.
