APRA Releases
Second Generation of www.AutoBulletins.Com
April 29, 2009
CHANTILLY, VIRGINIA – The Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA)
officially launched the 2nd generation of www.AutoBulletins.Com, a website
designed specifically for the professional technician diagnosing vehicle
problems. “Using AutoBulletins.Com gives the automotive or heavy duty technician
the ability to look-up Original Equipment Service (OEM) bulletins for almost any
car they may encounter in their shop,” stated APRA President, Bill Gager.
Accessing AutoBulletins.com online is like having a technical library at your
fingertips. By storing all of the data “in house,” APRA has been able to provide
much faster access for subscribers to this online service. The OEM technical
bulletins are updated monthly, with an additional 400-500 new bulletins being
added each month. Currently the website is home to 83,092 distinct technical
service bulletins with coverage through the 2009 model year.
This newly released version of AutoBulletins.com offers a streamlined software
design which allows access to the bulletins in three distinct ways:
1) By year, make, model, and system – easy dropdown boxes and no “submit” button to click.
2) By bulletin number – just start typing the bulletin number and the list of bulletins will appear.
3) By date entered – simply select a month and year and a list of bulletins in a paged format is displayed.
E. Mark Kothe, Chief Technical Officer of APRA said, “AutoBulletins.Com has
always been a great product. In today’s fast paced world, having a major speed
improvement was one of our top priorities. With new data being delivered
electronically every month the system is incredibly up-to-date, which will allow
our members to have access to the same technical bulletins that OEM dealers have
at their disposal.”
APRA is offering a free, full system test drive for 30-days for all APRA
members. Purchase price is $165 per year, or $15 per month. APRA President Bill
Gager, concluded, “After your 30-day free trial you’ll quickly realize that this
is a service you can’t live without.”
